Privacy Policy
Effective 24 October 2026
In short: our games send anonymous gameplay and performance data to us so we can fix bugs and improve them. There are no accounts, no ads, no in-app purchases and no third-party tracking. You can turn analytics off at any time in the game's Settings → Analytics.
Who we are
Maestro Games LLC ("Maestro Games", "we", "us") is a game developer based in California, USA. This policy covers our game Metro Maestro on every platform we publish it on (the iOS and Android apps, and the web version at play.maestrogames.io and itch.io), any other apps we publish that link to this page, and this website, maestrogames.io.
Questions about this policy or your data: privacy@maestrogames.io.
What our games do not do
- They have no accounts and never ask for your name, email address, phone number or any login.
- They show no ads and have no in-app purchases.
- They contain no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs, and do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- They do not access your contacts, photos, precise location, microphone or camera.
- We do not sell or share the data described here with anyone for advertising or any other purpose.
What we collect
When analytics are on, the game sends the following:
- Random identifiers. An install ID created by the game on your device, plus session and run IDs. They are not linked to your name, email, your device's advertising ID or any account.
- Gameplay events, for example starting a game, building a route, pausing, reaching a milestone, and how a game ended.
- Performance measurements: frame rate, loading times, freezes, and memory use where available.
- Error reports: error messages and recent in-game log lines. Email addresses, links and long numbers are removed on your device before anything is sent.
- A device description: device model and manufacturer, operating system and version, browser or WebView version, app version, graphics chip, number of processor cores, approximate memory size, screen size, pixel density and refresh rate, language, input type (touch or mouse), connection type (for example Wi-Fi or cellular), and whether the game is running in an emulator. It never includes a serial number, advertising ID, phone number or the name you gave your device.
- Country, worked out from your IP address when the data arrives. The IP address itself is used only briefly to prevent abuse and is not stored.
- Feedback you choose to write in the in-game feedback form or the "how fun was that?" prompt. Email addresses, links and long numbers are removed on your device before sending. If you leave "Include technical details" ticked, the report also includes the state of your game, recent performance figures and recent log lines.
- On the web only: your browser's user-agent string and the page that linked you to the game (the referrer).
Why we collect it
To find and fix bugs and crashes, to make the game run smoothly on more devices, and to balance and improve the game. We use this data only for developing and supporting our games. For people in the EU and UK, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the game working and improving it, balanced by your ability to switch analytics off at any time.
Who receives it
We use two service providers, which process data only on our behalf:
- Cloudflare hosts our analytics service and database (Cloudflare Workers and D1). All data is sent to it over HTTPS.
- Discord. Feedback and comments you write are forwarded to our team's private Discord channel so we read them quickly. That message contains your text, its category, a game reference code, and your platform, device model, OS version and app build. It is never visible to other players.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to a buyer of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.
Your saved games
Saved games are stored on your device and are never uploaded to us. If you export a save, it goes only where you send it. Your device's own backup service (such as iCloud backup or Android's automatic backup) may include the game's saves and install ID, under the settings of your Apple or Google account.
How long we keep it
We keep analytics and feedback for as long as they are useful for developing and supporting the game, and then delete them.
Your choices and rights
- Turn analytics off at any time in Settings → Analytics, or with "Turn off" on the notice shown the first time you open the game. When it is off, the game sends nothing (including feedback) and discards anything not yet sent.
- Access, deletion and other requests. Depending on where you live (for example California, the EU or the UK), you may have the right to know what data we hold about you, to have it deleted or corrected, and to object to its use. Email privacy@maestrogames.io and we will respond within 45 days. Because the data is not linked to your name, email or any account, we may be unable to identify which records are yours; we will tell you if that is the case.
- California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA, we do not use sensitive personal information, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
- EU and UK residents may also complain to their local data protection authority.
This website
maestrogames.io sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes visitors' IP addresses in order to deliver and protect the site. Pages load the Inter font from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google to fetch it. If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply.
Children
Our games are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, for example in feedback, contact us and we will delete it.
Security and international transfers
Data is encrypted in transit and stored with access limited to our team. Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries where they operate.
Changes to this policy
If what our games collect changes, we will update this page and its effective date before the change ships.
